Job Description
The main responsibilities of the Senior Development Engineer include:
- Refining and summarizing product specifications for new medical devices.
- Brainstorming innovative therapeutic concepts and solutions.
- Developing and refining concepts, creating detailed CAD designs.
- Prototyping and evaluating catheter-based designs for performance and feasibility.
- Performing engineering calculations, including tolerance analysis, to ensure product functionality.
- Drafting detailed drawings and demonstrate a clear understanding of component manufacturing methods.
- Designing and fabricating in-vitro testing fixtures and develop corresponding test methods.
- Developing, executing, and reporting on in-vivo and in-vitro study protocols.
- Developing manufacturing processes and creating related documentation.
- Creating and maintaining design control documentation to ensure compliance.
- Conducting product risk analyses to identify and mitigate potential issues.

The Successful Applicant
The successful Senior Development Engineer will have the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in medical device design and development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong understanding of ISO 13485 and experience participating in audits and guiding junior engineers.
- Advanced skills in SolidWorks.
- In-depth knowledge of materials science and properties relevant to common medical device materials.
- Specialized expertise in one or more technical areas within the medical device field.
- Experience across multiple development phases, including those guided by Design Controls requirements.
