Job Description

The main responsibilities of the Senior Development Engineer include:

• Refining and summarizing product specifications for new medical devices.
• Brainstorming innovative therapeutic concepts and solutions.
• Developing and refining concepts, creating detailed CAD designs.
• Prototyping and evaluating catheter-based designs for performance and feasibility.
• Performing engineering calculations, including tolerance analysis, to ensure product functionality.
• Drafting detailed drawings and demonstrate a clear understanding of component manufacturing methods.
• Designing and fabricating in-vitro testing fixtures and develop corresponding test methods.
• Developing, executing, and reporting on in-vivo and in-vitro study protocols.
• Developing manufacturing processes and creating related documentation.
• Creating and maintaining design control documentation to ensure compliance.
• Conducting product risk analyses to identify and mitigate potential issues.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Senior Development Engineer will have the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in medical device design and development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong understanding of ISO 13485 and experience participating in audits and guiding junior engineers.
• Advanced skills in SolidWorks.
• In-depth knowledge of materials science and properties relevant to common medical device materials.
• Specialized expertise in one or more technical areas within the medical device field.
• Experience across multiple development phases, including those guided by Design Controls requirements.
