Reports to: Regional Director, Training & Client Experience

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Learning & Development Manager to lead training and development initiatives across the North America region (Canada, Unites States, Caribeans), with a focus on enhancing client experience, leadership, and sales performance.

Reporting to the Regional Director, Training & Client Experience Americas, this role is based in New York City. The Senior Learning & Development Manager will work closely with boutique leaders and teams to align training strategies with business objectives, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

TRAINING & COACHING
  • Partner with boutique leaders to implement and deliver corporate training strategies tailored to their specific needs.
  • Facilitate training sessions focused on client experience, sales techniques, client acquisition, soft skills, and leadership development.
  • Lead on-the-floor coaching sessions, observing client/team interactions, identifying skill gaps, providing real-time feedback and guidance to enhance team performance.
  • Spend up to 70% of time on the field, actively coaching and supporting teams.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT & TALENT RETENTION
  • Empower boutique leaders to build their managerial and leadership skills through coaching and hands-on support.
  • Promote a culture of in-store coaching by supporting boutique leaders in coaching their teams effectively.
  • Serve as a "coach-the-coach" leader to enable boutique leaders to lead training initiatives and mentor their own teams.
  • Identify and nurture potential talent within boutiques to support career growth.
  • Partner with Regional Director Training & Client Experience and HR team to create career development and training plans to support talent retention and succession planning.
TRAINING CONTENT DEVELOPMENT
  • Design and develop customized training materials and tools based on identified needs.
  • Ensure training content is engaging, relevant, and aligned with corporate strategies and regional business objectives.
  • Continuously innovate and enhance learning methodologies, incorporating adult learning theories and learning best practices.
PERFORMANCE MONITORING & REPORTING
  • Monitor, track, and report on the effectiveness of training/coaching, team progression, results, focusing on measurable ROI and impact on business growth.
  • Collaborate with our leaders to assess skill gaps and identify areas of improvement within the teams.
COLLABORATION & ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align training initiatives with business goals.
  • Support special projects and other tasks as requested.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required.
  • +5 years of experience in sales and management training, preferably in a retail or luxury environment.
  • Proven mentoring experience, with the ability to guide and support individuals in their career and skill development.
  • Experience as a coaching practitioner is required. Certification is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge or experience in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is considered a bonus.
  • Working knowledge of adult learning theory with experience in distance learning preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and digital training platforms. Experience with InDesign is a bonus.
  • Strong reporting and data analysis skills to track team performance and training ROI.
PERSONAL SKILLS
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and functions.
  • Client-centric focus, with a passion for elevating client experiences through team development.
  • Transparent, reliable, and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of additional languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or others is a plus.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Availability to travel extensively across the region, spending significant time on the field (up to 70%).

Expected Salary Range: $115k-$135k
