Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Customer Service Pharmacy Technician to join our PharmScript team within our Customer Service department. In this role, you’ll be responsible for triaging incoming calls from nursing facilities to process and coordinate for patient care.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and is an effective communicator. They are always a team player, eager to jump in where needed and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy and needs of customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Triaging of incoming phone calls from nursing facilities
  • Processing of verbal requests for medication
  • Providing status or confirmation of medication delivery
  • Troubleshooting
  • Outgoing clarifications of medication orders and patient demographic data
  • Coordination of incoming Medication Orders both via fax and by electronic interface

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be a registered pharmacy technician in the applicable state
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • 1 year or more long-term care, retail pharmacy, or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Brand Name/Generic medications
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills required
  • Framework/DocuTrack knowledge a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment

  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
  • May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
