Payroll Specialist

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry in Bethlehem area. We are currently on the lookout for a payroll specialist for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide guidance to the payroll associate
• Utilize Sage HRMS software for payroll-related tasks
• Manage and process biweekly payroll for approximately 700 employees
• Oversee and handle FMLA and other benefit functions
• Resolve any payroll related inquiries and issues
• Maintain and monitor MITC timekeeping
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in processing customer credit applications
• Maintain precise records of customer credit.

• Proficient in benefit functions, including planning, implementation, and management
• Capable of processing biweekly payroll accurately and efficiently
• Extensive understanding of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and its implications in payroll management
• Proficiency in using Sage Software for payroll processing and related tasks
• Relevant experience in the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry
• Proven ability to supervise and manage a team effectively
• Strong communication skills to liaise with various departments and stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of payroll management
• Ability to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations
• Ability to analyze and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and changes in laws affecting payroll management.
