• Days per Week: 5
• Schedule: 8:30 AM
• 5:00 PM, Monday
• Friday (No weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts).
• Start Date: 11/04/2024

The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical care to patients under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner and performs essential clerical tasks.

Essential Duties:

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies and instruments.
• Assist patients during visits and examinations.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment.
• Perform EKGs, pulmonary function tests, audiometry, and other lab tests as required.
• Maintain and file patient records.
• Support billing and collections processes.
• Utilize computer software for office management.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and address specific care needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.
• Adhere to organizational standards and competencies.
• Lift a minimum of 5 lbs., push/pull 10 lbs., and stand for at least 6 hours daily.

Education:

• Required: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Certifications:

• Required: AHA BLS certification and one of the following:
• CMA-NHA
• CMA-NCCT
• CMA-AAMA
• RMA-AMT
• RMA-NAHP
• AMCA
• NCMA
