Our client in the beauty industry is searching for a highly motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join their awesome finance team.

In this role, you'll be the gatekeeper of payables, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely processing. You'll play a vital role in maintaining strong vendor relationships and keeping our financial wheels turning. You'll report directly to the AP Manager and have the opportunity to make a real impact on the company's financial health.

Responsibilities:

  • Process a high volume of invoices with speed and accuracy (think ninja-level data entry skills!).
  • Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices, resolving any discrepancies with finesse.
  • Ensure proper coding and authorization of invoices.
  • Prepare and process check runs and electronic payments.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and build strong relationships with our valued partners.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline AP operations (because efficiency is key!).
  • Respond to vendor inquiries with a smile (even when things get tricky!).
  • Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned (because we're a team!).

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist (3+ years exp).
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Netsuite or other ERP system)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables are your friends!).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy – typos are your nemesis!
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills – juggling multiple tasks is your superpower.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team – you're a team player!
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you can talk to anyone!
  • A positive attitude and a sense of humor – because laughter makes everything better!
