We are providing an exciting opportunity for an Office Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry located in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will oversee the administrative and accounting functions, interact with clients, manage accounts payable, and assist with special projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee administrative functions within the office
  • Handle incoming calls and warmly greet clients
  • Manage accounts payable and ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Order office supplies as necessary and ensure inventory is well-stocked
  • Receive purchasing requests from managers and diligently create purchase orders
  • Place orders with existing vendors and maintain strong relationships
  • Assist with account reconciliation tasks as needed
  • Support special projects as directed by senior management
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Sage 50 for data entry and other tasks
  • Perform receptionist duties as required to maintain a smooth office operation.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
  • Proficient in Account Reconciliation
  • Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Ability to execute accurate Data Entry tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Sage 50 accounting software
  • Experience handling Purchase Orders and Purchase Requests
  • Ability to perform Receptionist Duties, including answering phones and greeting visitors
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant discipline will be appreciated
