My client provides Service Bid and Design-Build services to clients in the Healthcare and Manufacturing markets. They foster relationships with their clients to add value. Their focus is on complex projects in regulated markets. This company specializes in pre-fabricated construction projects.

All divisions of the project following slab work are designed in-house, shipped to project sites, and installed onsite. My client is fully self-perform with regards to all skilled trades, and work throughout the Southeast.

Job Description
  1. Overall leadership of the program, including:
  2. Client Management in alignment with Program Design Manager
  3. Schedule Management, including integration & communication across DMC
  4. Budget/Estimate/Pricing Management, including communication of budget targets across DMC
  5. Program Launch Management in alignment with the Program Design Manager and DMC Departments
  6. Feedback Loop Management in alignment with the Program Design Manager and DMC Departments
  7. Develop Program Structure, including roles, tools, standards and processes
  8. Identify and address major constraints impeding the program
  9. Manage, develop, and mentor the program team
  10. Work closely with the Director of Construction to assure successful onsite construction of the modular units, including safety, quality, budget, and schedule
  11. Direct preparation of program and project estimates
  12. Establishes broad, overall strategy for project management and construction.
  13. Direct preparation and approval of all schedules, including the program schedules, master project schedules, and construction progress schedules, and periodic schedule revisions. Make key decisions affecting schedule, consulting with client as appropriate.
  14. Direct preparation of and approval of detailed cost estimates. Assist in resolution of discrepancies or conflicts between conceptual and detailed estimates.
  15. Review project status, budgets, and schedule with Project Managers on a regular basis. Participate in client negotiations as needed. Approve initial billing Schedule of Values. Review Summary Cost Reports.
  16. Management of an entire project or series of projects, including safety, quality, budget, and schedule.
  17. Management of project launch and planning in collaboration with teams across the organization.
  18. Management of multiple projects with different team structures, including self-perform, trade partners, and general contractor partners.
  19. Management of client relations, correspondence, periodic reports, change orders and response to client & customer inquiries.
  20. Development of assistant project management personnel through mentoring and on-the-job training.
  21. Ensure project is closed out promptly and efficiently.
  22. Daily communication and coordination with Design, Manufacturing, and Construction teams.
  23. Coordination with internal departments including shipping, logistics, and self-perform.
  24. Project financials and change management
  25. Responsible for communication and coordination with client project management.
  26. Collaborate with jobsite team for planning site logistics for permanent jobsite installations and module delivery and setting.
  27. Collaborate with jobsite team for efficient management of site facilities and general conditions cost.
  28. Responsible for documenting and communicating lessons learned into continuous improvement processes.
  29. Manage relationships with customers, internal team, subcontractors, and local authorities.

The Successful Applicant
  1. Bachelor's degree or greater in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or similar
  2. Management of complex construction projects (5-10 years)
  3. Project Management experience (>5 years)
  4. Ability to read and interpret manufacturing and construction documents and properly communicate missing information or discrepancies.
  5. General knowledge of construction means and methods across all trades.
  6. Ability to identify and implement process improvements for current and future projects.
  7. Leadership, business, management, organization, interpersonal relationships, sales/presentation, writing, communication, negotiation, estimating/pricing and scheduling.
  8. Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of DMC and 2x2x2
  9. Experience with client interaction/customer service in a demanding environment
  10. Expertise in managing resources, budgets, schedules and materials in a demanding environment
  11. Knowledge of estimating, construction methods, engineering, equipment and technology
  12. Excellent understanding of safety procedures.
  13. Excellent organizational, supervisory, communication, collaboration and analytical skills
  14. Ability to analyze and solve problems with follow-through and documentation
  15. Comfortable using Adobe, Bluebeam, MS Office suite and CAD
  16. Ability to travel per project requirements (< 25%)
