We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable / Cash Apps Analyst in Reston, Virginia. The role involves handling a range of tasks in the finance industry, including processing and reconciling high volumes of cash receipts, addressing payment discrepancies, and implementing accounts receivable operations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of customer credit applications processing.
- Maintaining and updating customer credit records.
- Addressing any payment issues such as double payments or other discrepancies.
- Researching and resolving customer inquiries concerning payment status, invoicing status, refunds, and write-offs.
- Implementing accounts receivable operations to enhance effectiveness and accuracy.
- Monitoring the operation of the accounts receivable systems.
- Developing solutions to issues related to cash receipts and collaborating with system design teams to implement new features.
- Analyzing unbilled receivables monthly against standard reports.
- Preparing, verifying, and reconciling a high volume of cash receipts for multiple divisions.
- Utilizing software such as Costpoint (7.0 or later) and Excel in the execution of tasks. • Proficient in Accounting Functions
- Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Familiarity with Billing Functions
- Understanding of Cash Activity
- Knowledge of Costpoint - Deltek
- Proficient in Deltek Costpoint
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Account Analysis
- Familiarity with Cash Applications
