Help Desk Specialist Description & Duties:

Foundation Finance Company is currently seeking an experienced, information technology (IT) professional or Help Desk Specialist who will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues for our company. In this position, you will be responsible for providing support to end users and their devices, provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems and various IT equipment.

This individual is expected to respond to queries, assess problems and issues with IT equipment and applications, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and determine/implement the solution. They will also be required to work closely with other IT department personnel to provide support on issues that are outside the scope of their knowledge or expertise.

Pay Range: USD $20.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.

Responsibilities:

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that the highest standards of customer service are maintained in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by Foundation Finance Company LLC.
  • Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record.
  • Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
  • Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures and policies of Foundation Finance Company LLC and the Technical Services Department.
  • Be willing to troubleshoot complex problems and provide solutions to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Will assist in maintaining ticket queue, and process requests with speed and thoroughness by analyzing issues, then providing documentation of resolution within the ticket.
  • Support all areas of IT including technical improvements and changes.
  • Ability to multi-task to ensure call handling, email communication and other electronic communication is processed according to department policies and verify that Services Desk SLA’s are in place.
  • Create Self-help documentation and training manuals for end users; prepare required/needed documentation for operational desktop software, system software, and device hardware.
  • Provide strong motivation and excel in training abilities, help other associates with complicated issues and preform “roaming” tasks with efficiency, tact, and professionalism.
  • Ability to analyze, resolve, and log requests from identification to resolution. Follow up with all support staff to ensure incidents are resolved, requests are filled, and customer communication is complete.

Applicants must also have great attention to detail and ability to multi-task under the stress of deadlines with a strong desire to help the organization succeed.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field; Associates w/relevant experience
  • A+ certification or similar designation is a plus
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software; Word Processing software and Internet software.
  • Strong typing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Professional phone presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
