Entry Level Civil Engineer (693007)

1. Position Summary

• Create civil designs, construct, supervise, operate, and maintain large construction projects and systems, including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and systems for water supply and sewage treatment.

1. Duties Statement

• Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan future projects.
• Evaluate and analyze construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors in planning stages and risk associated with them.
• Compile, submit and monitor permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies and verify that projects comply with government regulations as required.
• Participate in soil testing projects to determine the adequacy and strength of the foundation.
• Test building materials, such as concrete, asphalt, and steel, for use in particular projects.
• Provide cost estimate for materials, equipments, and labor to determine projects economic feasibility.
• Use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and structures in line with industry and government standards.
• Prepare reports for stakeholders to include bid & proposals, environmental impact statements, and property descriptions.

The experience and education requirements are: Twelve (12) months of experience as a Civil Engineer or Electrical Engineer.

Bachelors degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
