SSOE is looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our professional team of engineers and designers allowing the selected individual to participate in the design of state-of-the-art industrial and manufacturing facilities for the world’s leading companies.

Responsibilities:
The following duties are typical of the position but are not all-encompassing.
A Typical Day Might Include:
- Provide technical leadership in interpreting, organizing, and executing large-scale mechanical engineering projects. Ensure compliance with budget, schedule, quality standards, and interdisciplinary coordination, including stamping/sealing documents as per legal requirements.
- Strategize and execute engineering projects to tackle unique or challenging issues, leveraging specialized expertise in a specific engineering field.
- Maintain professional communication with individuals within and outside the firm and make decisions on technical matters about the chosen field.
- Plan, organize, supervise, and review the work of a team of engineers and designers collaborating on the same assigned project.
- Actively engage in client interactions and business development activities. Prepare or oversee the preparation of contract proposals and contribute to presentations.
- Meet regularly with clients to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction.
- Accept or reject major items involving materials, equipment, manufacturer's quality, and field construction.
- Maintain continuing professional education as detailed in registered states' voluntary or mandatory requirements.
- Travel required.
Qualifications:
Qualifications You’ll Need on Day One:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and professional registration are required.
- Three (3) or more years of experience with SSOE as an Engineer 5, or same educational and registration requirements with twelve (12) or more years of related practical experience with former employer(s).
- Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
- Salary Range: $145,000-$160,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
