Physician Assistant – Orthopedics

Overview:

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook, GlenOaks, Hinsdale and La Grange hospitals are affiliated with UChicago Medicine, one of the top academic medical centers in the country. We are also part of AdventHealth, a unified health system with over 50 hospital campuses and hundreds of care sites in diverse markets throughout 9 states.

Responsibilities:

• Part-time .6 FTE (24 hours per week); plus, practice and hospital call coverage
• Experience in orthopedics or surgical specialty, preferred
• Outpatient clinic responsibilities
• Call 1:6 hospital, plus practice call
• Inpatient hospital rounding and consultations
• Ability to perform orthopedic outpatient surgical procedures
• Collaboration with Orthopedic Surgeons in practice

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
• Masters degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
• Current Illinois nurse practitioner or physician assistant license in good standing
• Certified as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant by an approved certifying organization.
• Prescriptive authority, Illinois Controlled Substance, DEA certification
• Current CPR certification
