Position Description:Administrative functions relate to the operation and implementation of a residential treatment facilitys (policy, program and budget) program in compliance with licensing requirements. Supervise appropriate twenty-four (24) hour care for residents via staff personnel.
Qualifications:Project Destiny Home of Hope Inc Residential Child Care Program Board of Directors and ILS guidelines (87064) requires the Administrator shall meet the following qualifications:
- Have a Masters degree in a behavioral science from an accredited college or university; plus, two years of employment as a Social Worker in an agency serving children or in a residential congregate care program for children.
- Have completed a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and three years of administrative experience or supervisory Social Work experience, residential child care workers and/or support staff providing direct services to residents in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of six (6) or more.
- Have completed at least two years at an accredited college or university, plus, at least five years of administrative experience or supervisory Social Work experience, residential child care workers and/or support staff providing direct services to residents in an agency or in a licensed child care program with a licensed capacity of six (6) or more.
- Be a qualified and certified residential child care program administrator prior to January 1, 2017.
- An individual must be certified by the State Board for the Certification of Residential Child Care Program Professionals.
- Employee is required to have a personnel record, an age affirmation affidavit and confidentiality form on file.
- Documentation of the required education and experience requirements shall be maintained in the personnel file.
- Direction and evaluation of a residential treatment facility within the limits of the functions and policies established by the licensee.
- Preparation of the facilitys budget and management of expenditures according to the facilitys budget limitations.
- Organization of the work of the facility and delegation of responsibility to staff members.
- Assessment of the facility operations and program; and reporting to the licensee and making recommendations to address identified problems.
- Recruitment, appointment, training, evaluation and termination of staff.
- Development of a plan for the orientation, development and training of staff.
- Review of complaints made by residents, or their placing agent and deciding upon the action to be taken to handle the compliant.
- Develop the written policies, procedures, and practices for continuous quality improvement.
- Observe and interact with residents, staff, and other individuals, as necessary to ensure the quality of care for resident and program services.
- Any other duties that may be necessary to manage and administer the short-term residential therapeutic program.
- SR5 documentation.
- Review of residents with an Individualized Education Program (IEP), if applicable.
- Review of SIRs and Grievances, if applicable.
- Employee observation, evaluation and documentation.
- Review and documentation of the weekly assessment, communication log, medication log, and significant event log etc., for accuracy.
- Monthly distribution and reports.
- Process home pass requests.
- Inspections of facility exterior and interior for cleanliness, repairs, and needs for compliance.
- Community liaison.
- Supervise resident council meetings, in-house groups, and individual meetings. 21. Input in employee performance reviews.
- The Administrator shall be on the premises for a minimum of 20 hours per week to manage and administer the program compliance with applicable law and regulation.
The Virtuous Woman Inc. understands the correlation in young girls between the ages of 10-24 from going into Prisons and the Juvenile Justice System. The VWI addresses Runaways, Homelessness, Human Sex Trafficking, Domestic Violence and Foster Care, Project Destiny has a runaway support group and provides proper information of services, Project Destiny Home of Hope (Specialized Recovery Home for Victims of Human Sex Trafficking ages 12-18 years old), a 13 week curriculum workshop with The Butterfly Journey, Vocational Training and Transitional Housing, 10 Steps to Recovery from Trauma of Addictive Behaviors of Human Sex Trafficking and Transitional Housing.
