Associate General Counsel

Job Summary:
We’re looking for an Associate General Counsel to join our PharmScript team within our legal department. As the Associate General Counsel, you will provide legal advice and representation to PharmScript on a broad range of corporate, regulatory, and HR compliance matters.This role supports the General Counsel in managing legal affairs and ensuring PharmScript’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and be an effective communicator. They are always a team player, eager to jump in where needed and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy and the needs of customers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including commercial agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support business initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Protect and preserve enterprise rights in disputes, collections, negotiations, settlements, and litigation.
- Support business stakeholders in strategic initiatives, mitigating risk while protecting enterprise interests.
- Offer legal guidance and support concerning commercial law and healthcare compliance matters to business stakeholders and leaders for commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid lines of business.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to company employees on legal and compliance matters.
- Support the General Counsel in managing the legal department and overseeing the company's overall legal strategy.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with bar admission in at least one state.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant legal experience, such as health care regulatory and transactional practices, including specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical distribution industries, and long-term care facilities, preferably in a corporate or law firm setting.
- Experience in working on complex legal matters.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the Healthcare industry or relevant area of law is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and pharmacy law.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to provide practical and strategic legal advice to business leaders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Manage and coordinate with outside counsel on litigation and other legal matters as needed.
