Experienced and detail oriented Assistant Project Manager is sought to join a top 200 ENR, award winning general contractor's growing Charlotte office. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving their continued success throughout the Charlotte market, managing their award winning multifamily construction projects and mentoring their excellent project management team.This individual will report directly to the Project Manager and Project Executive, and be responsible for managing their projects from inception to close out, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and on budget. Project are large scale, luxury multifamily complexes up to $100M typically, with a secured backlog of work through 2028.

Job Description
Main duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Review plans, specifications, and client requirements
- Initiate RFIs to resolve issues in the field and plan discrepancies
- Process, review, and track submittals
- Review design and shop drawings to evaluate the impact on the cost and schedule
- Prepare Subcontractor scope of work letters
- Initiate change orders to the Owner and solicit bids from Subcontractors
- Perform estimates and compile cost breakdowns for the client to review
- Maintain procurement, submittal, and RFI logs
- Provide schedule assistance and track daily production
- Coordinate correspondence between the design and construction team
- Lead and mentor a team of Project Management staff

The Successful Applicant
Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily Construction - Charlotte should have:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of construction-related project management experience with a general contractor.
- A proven track record of running multifamily projects, $20M to $100M+.
- Knowledge of construction methods and materials, costing, & scheduling
- Must have Procore experience
- Ability to organize, think ahead, plan and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Base salary between $80,000 to $95,000 - Dependent on experience
