Robotics Technician

This role will be on-site at our client's San Carlos office, 5 days/40 hours per week. Some travel may be required. This contract will be, at minimum, a 6-month commitment.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

• - Flash firmware to PCBAs and deploy operating systems to onboard computers
• Evaluate robot bring-up process and debug performance issues
• Develop SOPs and work instructions surrounding robot bring-up
• Record and track performance bugs during manufacture and deployment
• Perform and develop in-line manufacturing tests
• Assist with the mechanical assembly of robots

Qualifications:

• Over 4 years of experience in debugging, testing, and assembling electro-mechanical hardware or computers
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail
• Proficient with command-line interfaces, Linux-based systems, and basic Bash commands
• Skilled in imaging and deploying operating systems onto computers
• Capable of following and creating SOPs and work instructions
• Experienced in reading wiring diagrams, using digital multimeters, and other electrical testing tools, as well as performing basic electrical assembly
• Comfortable with basic hand tools for assembly tasks

Ideal Qualifications:

• - Familiarity with Git, ROS, YAML, and basic Python
• Experience with basic system administration and network configuration
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Familiarity with SolidWorks, and reading mechanical drawings

• Reading wiring diagrams (3 years of experience is preferred)
• basic hand tools (3 years of experience is preferred)
