Position: Virtual Piano Ministry Instructor & Community Outreach Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled pianist to join our ministry team in a remote capacity, sharing the transformative power of music through piano instruction while fostering spiritual growth through Christ's teachings. This position offers flexibility and can be structured as a volunteer opportunity, for academic credit, or as an internship experience.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide virtual piano instruction to students of all ages and skill levels, incorporating faith-based elements and spiritual teachings into lesson plans
- Design and implement engaging online music curriculum that bridges musical education with Christian ministry
- Coordinate with local community partners to facilitate virtual outreach programs and musical events
- Collaborate remotely with other musicians and vocalists for special performances and worship services
- Create and maintain digital resources for students' spiritual and musical development
- Participate in virtual ministry team meetings and contribute to program development
- Document student progress and maintain communication with students, families, and ministry leaders
- Strong foundation in piano performance with the ability to play multiple genres including:
- R&B / Soul
- Blues / Jazz
- Contemporary Christian
- Gospel
- Hymns
- Contemporary worship music
- Popular music
- Active Christian faith and understanding of Biblical teachings
- Experience teaching piano to diverse age groups
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Skype, etc.)
- Reliable internet connection and appropriate technology for virtual instruction
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or related field (in progress or completed)
- Previous experience in music ministry or church leadership
- Knowledge of music production software and digital recording tools
- Experience in community outreach or volunteer coordination
- Multilingual abilities a plus
- 100% remote position with flexible scheduling
- Minimum commitment of 10-15 hours per week
- 3-6 month initial commitment, with possibility of extension
- Ability to accommodate students in different time zones
