ERP Engineer
We are seeking an ERP/CRM Developer to join our team in Clayton, North Carolina. This role is focused on supporting the ERP Modules related to Production and Warehousing within our industry. You will be actively involved in supporting new product launches, warehouse production orders, and tackling issues with legacy problems, providing an engaging opportunity for detail-oriented growth and development.
Day in the life: The ERP Engineer will support the ERP Modules related to Production and Warehousing; it will exclude shipping and finance related modules.
You will support new product launches, warehouse production orders, and issues with legacy problems. Auditing all legacy products and finding ways to increase accuracy, update BAAN. Going over the reports and seeing what reports exist, how to improve reports.
This role will work directly with product development, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and other cross-function departments to interpret and structure engineering BOMs/routings into the ERP system. This role will create and institute comprehensive and accurate data for standard and custom product requests.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain custom queries, reports, and dashboards
- Develop best practices and standards to optimize workflow and increase data accuracy
- Provide process documentation, training, coaching and continued support for ERP improvements and initiatives
- Provide support for ERP Modules specifically related to Production and Warehousing
- Actively involved in supporting new product launches and warehouse production orders
- Review existing reports and devise strategies for improvement
Must Have:
- 2-3 years of some ERP experience, doesn’t have to be BAAN.
- 2-3 years experience setting up or maintaining the following within an ERP system: Item Master or Material Master, Bill of Materials (BOM), Routings.
- Someone with a year of experience setting up complex configurations within an ERP system.
- Some experience writing technical documents and providing hands on training.
- Some BI experience, they have a system similar to SQL.
Nice to have:
- Industrial or Systems Engineering degree
- BAAN IV or Infor LN ERP system knowledge
- If they worked on a small ERP team, wants someone who has handled the whole ERP system, not someone who just owned a portion.
- They want someone who prefers an onsite position
