YOUR ROLE
The Retail Community Outreach Lead is a part-time hourly role at our Boston, MA retail location.
Retail Community Outreach Leads are responsible for providing an exceptional brand experience with customers at our Boston Mountain Studio. Retail Community Outreach Leads are required to deliver an outstanding customer experience, which includes but is not limited to knowledge of the brand story and product, customer engagement, and selling.Retail Community Outreach Leads are committed to supporting a dynamic, cohesive team that provides a customer experience through connection, top-quality product education, and a passion for our products and company.
Retail Community Outreach Leads are responsible for coordinating and supporting meaningful local partnerships and events throughout the year to drive brand awareness, traffic, and revenue. This part-time, hourly role offers designated time each week to coordinate and support retail events and activations.When not using dedicated time to coordinate and support events and activations, the lead will be scheduled for shifts on the sales floor engaging with customers and selling products.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Community outreach duties include:
- Coordinate and support retail events and activations, both in store and in the community
- Collaborate with store leadership team, other Retail Community Outreach Leads and HQ Marketing team to execute meaningful, impactful ad placement, partnerships, events and activations throughout the year
- Partner with the Mountain Studio Manager to maximize the retail marketing budget, planning the schedule ahead throughout the following year
- Update and look ahead to asset needs, event support needs, requests and timelines, work with HQ brand and creative teams on communication tools and lead times
- Responsible for event setup, tabling, and active engagement with attendees of in store and off site events to promote brand awareness and foster community relationships
- Manage requests and timeline needs in Asana for assets from internal creative team
- Contribute to weekly/monthly/quarterly metric tracking and post activation reporting, using this data to evaluate ROI and inform future planning
Sales & service duties include:
- Create a welcoming customer experience in our Mountain Studio retail space
- Provide knowledgeable and up to date details of Stio products, sales, and pricing
- Maintain visual store aesthetic through routine cleaning, mannequin changes, organizing displays and general tidying of the floor
- Receive inventory shipments, restocking inventory on the sales floor, and maintaining an organized back-stock
- Utilize Point of Sale system to accurately and efficiently process customer transactions; payments, refunds/exchanges and gift cards
- Other operational duties including answering phones and fulfilling customer service shipments
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
- Retail, sales, and/or service experience preferred
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive space for every person who enters the Mountain Studio
- Display a passion for engaging with your community, and have proven project management or event experience
- Understanding of the Stio brand and identifying brand partners and activation opportunities
- Flexibility to work Weekends, Evenings and Holidays required, including representing Stio at key in-store and off-site events which may be outside of normal store hours
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Proactive learner who is eager to be part of a growing Stio team
- Computer proficiency and POS experience
- Microsoft Office and Excel Skills preferred
- Email and phone communication skills required
- Must be able to move around the retail space, move upwards of 50 lbs and occasionally traverse ladders
- Must have own vehicle and able to travel to off site events and activations
- Roles are part time, hourly, non-exempt
