Automotive Technician

Overview:

The Assembly Technician will conduct preassemby preparation, operate production machines, ensure the manufacturing lines have enough product to continue running, complete job quality / production reporting and ensure quality control requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-assembly/project preparation
  • Review parts modifications
  • Compare scanned images to drawings to verify parts issues
  • Operate a variety of equipment and tools to assemble mechanical and/or vehicle components in assigned areas
  • Fill vehicle systems with required fluids/coolants/oil and conducting test drives to confirm vehicle operation/safety
  • Perform special modifications to existing vehicles per assigned work requests
  • Inspecting/testing parts to confirm quality/operation and interfacing with design engineers to verify technical data and review final assembly

Qualifications:

  • Competent use of equipment/machinery/software required to perform job
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes related to vehicle assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies
  • Possess decision-making, problem solving and detail-oriented skills
  • Excellent analytical, prioritization, decision-making and judgment skills
  • Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and team building skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Catia
  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
