Overview:

Forum Benefits, an Alera Group Company, is seeking a Benefits Technology Specialist to join our Employee Benefits team.

The Forum team was established in 2007 to provide improved flexibility with customized employee benefits and HR technology solutions for our customers. In 2016, Forum merged with 23 like-minded, high-performing independent firms across the United States to form Alera Group, the nation’s 14th largest independent insurance agency and the 7th largest privately held benefits firm.

This provides us access to resources, technical expertise and best practices of a larger national firm, while maintaining the personal local service employers need.

Responsibilities:

The Benefits Technology Specialist will manage the internal HR Technology system (Employee Navigator) offered to clients. You'll work closely with the internal Administration Team, Account Management Teams, Account Executive Teams, and Benefits Technology Consulting to identify technological needs for clients and oversee the successful implementations. You'll also be heavily involved with client demos, HR training, carrier and vendor integrations, and internal client services. Essential job functions include:

  • Build & maintain clients in the Employee Navigator system
  • Build carrier file feeds
  • File feed discrepancy management
  • Test/break the system with demos

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of insurance benefit administration experience with a carrier, broker, consulting firm or HR technology firm.
  • Ability to travel 25% locally
  • MS Excel
