Job Description:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Instructional Design Specialist III is responsible for the development of engaging and effective learning experiences that enhance industry knowledge and drive increased usage through the Lennox Learning Center. In this role, you will create sales, product marketing, and product technical training materials for both internal and external audiences.

The Instructional Designer works closely with Lennox product teams, marketing, and sales teams to determine requirements and gather content, to develop presentations, hands-on exercises and other materials for in-person, webinar, and LMS-based training for HVAC Dealers and Lennox Employees.

This Full-time position is a Hybrid schedule - 4 days in our Richardson office, 1 day Remote.

Responsibilities
  • Design comprehensive instructional strategies incorporating pre-class activities, presentations, learner participation, practice problems, case studies, and evaluations.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, customer experience, product management, and engineering teams to deeply understand new product developments and identify training needs for both new and existing products.
  • Prepare instructor materials (course outline, background material, and training aids).
  • Create engaging training materials including presentations, video modules, and hands-on exercises for various training platforms such as in-person sessions, webinars, and LMS-based training, and select appropriate instructional multimedia and craft effective copy, texts, audio, and video scripts.
  • Create student materials such as course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course critique forms.
  • Design and develop learning deliverables aligned with leadership and branding standards, including interactive eLearning, video tutorials, instructor-led classroom curriculum, and printed self-paced training materials.
  • Ensure all deliverables exceed internal customer expectations by auditing at least 1 training class per quarter.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customer on requirements for intake, including expectations for content, accuracy, timeliness, and areas of improvement.
  • Develop comprehensive training content to support product launches and ongoing product education, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and product messaging

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $78,400- $102,900 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.

Qualifications:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or Training related field or Equivalent Experience.
  • 5 Years Business, Training, Content Developing experience
  • Proven experience in instructional design and e-learning development
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and educational technologies.
  • Proficiency in authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and knowledge of SCORM standards is a plus

  • Previous experience in customer-facing training, particularly within the HVAC industries.
