Serves as Physical Therapy Assistant within the Moncrief Directorate of Surgery.

Responsibilities:

Physical Therapy Assistant GS-636-06

Duties:

• Performs day-to-day duties with the supervisor providing general guidelines regarding the nature of therapeutic activities and the program in general.
• Consult with attending PT to ensure appropriate length of care.
• Make recommendations and utilizes the various modalities of physical therapy, as prescribed, to include diathermy, hydrotherapy, massage, electrotherapy, ultrasound and therapeutic exercise.
• Provide updated status in patient progress reports, as well as other administrative reports.
• Initiate, implement, plan, and recommend progressive treatment plan.

Qualification Requirements:

• A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant from a state, the District of Columbia, or a territory of the United States is required.
