Process Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze product designs and specifications to determine manufacturing requirements, equipment needs, and production methods
  • Develop efficient processes, tooling, xturing, and testing methods for electronic assemblies
  • Create and optimize work instructions, process documentation, and control plans
  • Lead process qualification runs and validate that processes meet quality and eciency targets
  • Verify process plans prior to production (Procedures, Stencils, Pick & Place Programming, Components, Reow Prole, AOI programming, X-Ray, consumables, etc.)
  • Identify and implement process improvements through data analysis and engineering changes
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide technical support to the production team
  • Ensure processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams
  • Perform and log maintenance and calibration of all production equipment as required
  • Submit recommendations and justifications for tooling and machines as needed through capital appropriations requests
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related field or equivalent related work
experience. A relevant professional certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a process engineering role in electronics manufacturing or a similar industry, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, components, and assembly techniques.
  • Solid reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and customer documentation knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with
customers, internal teams, and suppliers.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with quality control and assurance processes, committed to ensuring the highest product quality.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, Lean, Six Sigma
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as project management tools like ERP/MRP systems, Google Suite, or Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
