Looking for a Industrial Security Specialist opportunity at a place you can make a difference every day? Come join our phenomenal team in supporting the mission of National Security! This position will assist in overseeing the administrative security operations in Serco’s Washington, D.C facility.

This role will be on-site 5 days a week; Monday - Friday

You will support Serco employees and multiple Federal Government customers by overseeing the administrative security operations locally and across the entire organization. You will be a part of a team of fifteen dynamic security professionals.

This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your Secret clearance.

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for administrative security processes such as security clearances, program accesses, badging, and visit requests; as well as contract documentation related to security and program security activities.
  • Interpret and apply the relevant publications against existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable government requirements and regulations.
  • Enforce, monitor, and comply with the policies and procedures as set forth by the organization, 32 CFR Part 117 - National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), and other government regulations as applicable.
  • Assist in the development of internal company policies, including the security awareness program, to ensure personnel are current on the latest procedures.
  • Prepare and submit employee visit requests to support classified visits to include DISS/NBIS visit requests, paper visit requests, and ship visit requests as needed.
  • Assist personnel in completing and updating documentation needed to obtain and maintain security clearances by submitting required documentation to DCSA.
  • Process requests for Common Access Cards, government system accesses, as well as badge requests for employees to access other facilities, bases, and shipyards.
  • Undertake other comparable duties as assigned to maintain an efficient operation in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The ability to transfer and maintain an active Secret level DoD clearance
  • U.S Citizenship is required
  • A Bachelors degree
  • Or a High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of security processes with an emphasis in industry personnel security actions and document control
  • Working knowledge of DISS, e-QIP, and Microsoft Office 365 (to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • The ability to troubleshoot problems with meticulous attention to detail
  • Use standard office systems to include a desktop computer, printers, scanner, copier, etc.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills. Great patience, arbitration skills, and flexibility with all levels of customers and employees

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Facility Security Officer (FSO) Training must be completed for this position within two months after the start date
  • The ability to potentially obtain and maintain a Top Secret level security clearance
  • Working knowledge of SWFT, NBIS, e-APP, and NISS
  • Experience with C-CURE is a plus

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $62,037.42 to $93,056.69; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
