Occupational Therapist Intern

Overview:

Occupational therapist intern will evaluate and assist clients to promote health,well-being and improve their ability to participate in important activities that a client wants to accomplish.

Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment & Evaluation Support:

• Assist with assessing clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive needs
• Observe and participate in evaluating the patient's functional capabilities and limitations
• Help administer client assessments

Documentation & Record Keeping:

• Document patient progress, treatments, and interventions in accordance with regulatory and institutional guidelines
• Assist with charting and updating patient files for ongoing treatment and evaluations

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in completing an Occupational Therapist program
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Ability to work and collaborate with a team

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Experience using Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn how to use new software (Ergo IQ)
