Senior Quality Engineer
Due to an upcoming retirement, our client needs a Senior Quality Engineer to lead a team of 7. The Senior Quality Engineer will handle customer issues as well as oversee vendor quality. Our client is a custom metal fabrication operation and the role reports to the Quality Manager.

Production orders booked out for a year
Ability to produce castings from 600 different alloys
Markets served include Aerospace, defense, energy, mining, petrochemical, food equipment and process equipment
In addition to castings, they have a complete machine shop for fabrication, heating treating facility and testing lab
Certifications include: AS9100, ISO 9001, Nadcap, and ASNT Levels II & III

What you will be doing:
Supervise and develop the team of quality professionals in their Certification and Release group, to ensure that processes are followed, and the customer gets what is needs.
Act as the quality liaison between the company and the customer.
Monitor and manage the customer portals and scorecards.
Implement customer-related quality improvement projects.
Provide customer resolution of quality issues.
Ensure new & existing vendors meet the company's quality requirements.
Manage vendor corrective actions and improvement activities.
Current size of the Team + number of reports? Small group of 5-7
What they are looking for:
Bachelors in Engineering, Industrial Technology Management or other relevant technical discipline is required.
