IT Security Specialist

We are in the process of expanding our team in Eatontown, New Jersey, and are actively seeking an IT Security Specialist. This role is a significant part of our Pharmaceutical industry operation, and will require the application of various skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and modify existing EHS programs to ensure they meet all regulatory requirements
  • Identify, monitor, and correct environmental, health, and safety issues within the organization
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions to address safety concerns
  • Develop proactive EHS systems, policies, and procedures to promote safe work practices
  • Conduct training sessions for all employees on safety protocols and maintain records of the same on the company's learning platform
  • Assist in achieving the company's environmental and safety goals, including injury, water, energy, and waste reduction
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's EHS policies, standards, guidelines, and programs
  • Administer an EHS audit program, including industrial hygiene, and maintain a PPE and GMP program
  • Oversee the site's Behavioral-Based Safety Observations Program, including employee training, observation tracking, and status reporting
  • Utilize Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Technologies, Cloud Technologies, Database, AB Testing, Auditing, AWS Technologies, Configuration Management, and Cyber Security skills to ensure the security and integrity of the organization's IT infrastructure. • Proficiency in IT security principles, including knowledge of current cybersecurity threats and trends.
  • Demonstrated experience with Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and other Cisco Technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and their security concerns.
  • Experience in database management and security.
  • Demonstrable skills in AB Testing and its application in IT security.
  • Proficiency in auditing IT systems for potential security risks or breaches.
  • Experience with AWS Technologies and their associated security protocols.
  • Skills in configuration management and its role in maintaining secure systems.
  • Solid understanding of cyber security best practices and strategies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) will be advantageous.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying and mitigating potential security risks.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
