Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our healthcare team in Milford, DE. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. This role involves working collaboratively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at improving communication and swallowing abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient-specific needs and goals.
Provide direct therapy services, including speech, language, and swallowing interventions.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational and physical therapists, to ensure coordinated care.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing improvement.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Stay current with best practices and emerging research in the field of speech-language pathology.
Adhere to ethical and regulatory guidelines as established by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensing boards.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Delaware.
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
Experience in a clinical, educational, or healthcare setting is a plus.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation systems.
