Data Analyst III

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst III with a versatile background in Power BI, SQL Server administration, and systems management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our data infrastructure, providing advanced analytics, building ETL processes, and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.Experience in Java scripting is a plus.

Alphacomm custom designs, manufactures and distributes wireless accessories to over 18,000 points of distribution, primarily in the Prepaid wireless market in North America. Alphacomm leads the wireless industry in the number of carrier brands managed and is the first to market carrier-licensed accessory portfolios for over fifty devices launched annually.In-house brands, Quikcell and BosBos, are leading brands designed and manufactured by Alphacomm for the Prepaid channel.
Responsibilities- Power BI Analytics:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
- Implement and optimize Power BI solutions for data visualization, performance, and scalability.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reporting solutions.
- SQL Server Administration:
- Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, including configuration, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries.
- Implement security measures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases.
- Perform database tuning and optimization for high performance.
- Systems Administration:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and servers.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies across systems.
- Ensure system performance, availability, and reliability through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement infrastructure upgrades and changes.
- Java Scripting (Bonus):
- Utilize Java scripting to automate tasks and enhance system functionalities where applicable.
- Work on integration projects that involve Java-based technologies.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Proven experience with Power BI in developing and maintaining reports and dashboards.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server administration, including performance tuning and security best practices.
- Experience in systems administration (Windows/Linux) and IT infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with virtualization, cloud technologies, and storage systems.
- Understanding of network protocols, security configurations, and server maintenance.
- Basic experience or knowledge of Java scripting (bonus).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Power BI, SQL Server, or systems administration (e.g., MCSA, MCSE).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible) to streamline system administration tasks.
