The role involves working closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver innovative cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of complex AWS cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and IT strategies.
Develop and manage application architecture models and ensure the alignment of the overall design with application requirements and industry best practices.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring that solutions are delivered to the highest standards.
Analyze and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Implement best practices for optimizing resource usage, reducing latency, and improving the overall efficiency of cloud- based applications.
Work closely with the business to understand their challenges and translate these into cloud solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
Ensure that all AWS solutions are secure, compliant with industry standards, and adhere to best practices for cloud security and governance.
Optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high levels of performance and availability.
Stay updated on the latest AWS services and features and apply this knowledge to improve existing solutions or develop new ones.
Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, ensuring that designs are communicated effectively to stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts, to deliver integrated solutions.
Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting and resolution.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in cloud architecture, and 3 years specifically focused on AWS.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional is required. Additional AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
Extensive experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.)
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools (e.g., IAM, KMS, Security Groups, etc.)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, Direct Connect, and VPC peering.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Proven experience in application optimization, including performance tuning, resource allocation, and scaling strategies.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
Strategic thinking and the ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
Experience in multi-cloud environments (e.g., Azure, GCP) is a plus. Experience with server less architecture and microservices.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with Contact Center Technologies is preferred.
