Sewing Machine Operator

Responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to perform sewing operations on all products. Knowledge and experience using industrial sewing machines is required. Candidate must possess sound hand-eye coordination and be able to cope with moderate physical effort.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate from work orders, order cards or verbal instructions. Measuring with rulers and other measuring devices.
• Operate and/or tend sewing machines to join, reinforce or perform related sewing operations in the manufacturing of leather and canvas bags
• Construct product from patterns and templates according to defined SOPs and quality standards
• Remove stitches from bags to be altered and/ or repaired
• Maintain a clean workplace daily
• Perform as a key element to the greater production team
• Set up single needle machines - thread, tension, change needles, and wind bobbins
• Meet and record daily production sewing goals
• Ability to receive constructive feedback from other team members and willingness to fix and learn from mistakes
• Maintain a clean and organized production space
• 32+ Hours per week.
