Since 1986, our client has supported residential construction projects across New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Based in Nashua, the company offers end-to-end design and remodeling services including kitchen, bath, home additions, basements, and much more.

With over $7M in annual sales the company is looking to continue growing their brand across the New England residential market.

Job Description
  1. Strategic Planning & Administration
  • Assist senior management in developing the company's strategic plan.
  • Create and execute an annual sales plan to achieve company objectives.
  • Develop methods to track sales performance and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Develop and implement financing programs to offer clients flexible payment options.
  1. Sales Management
  • Maintain and update the sales procedure manual.
  • Develop and refine sales methodologies for all products and services.
  • Work with the estimator and senior management to optimize the estimating process.
  • Coach and mentor sales staff to maximize their potential and meet monthly sales goals.
  • Analyze sales and marketing key performance indicators (KPIs) weekly and collaborate with marketing and senior management to review results.
  • Review and approve sales commission reports.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire sales personnel in line with projections and budget.
  • Oversee onboarding and training for new sales hires.
  • Assess and adjust sales designer compensation to align with industry standards (8-10% cost of sales).
  1. Marketing & Lead Management
  • Monitor and optimize lead distribution and processing to ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure sales consultants receive an adequate flow of leads.
  • Verify that leads are processed correctly by the Client Experience Specialist.
  • Reassign improperly handled or qualified leads as necessary.
  • Collaborate with marketing to meet lead generation targets.
  • Oversee sales team participation in marketing activities and events.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager on home shows and other promotional events.
  • Encourage and track self-generated leads to reduce dependence on company-driven leads.
  • Develop and implement a lead re-engagement ("Re-hash") program.
  1. Pre-Production Coordination
  • Review and approve sold projects to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Confirm project budgets align with scope of work, company expertise, and local codes.
  • Assist in re-selling projects when needed.
  • Train sales designers on pre-production processes.
  • Ensure pre-production procedures are correctly followed by sales designers, estimators, and architectural designers.
  • Work with the Director of Production to streamline sales-to-production handoff.
  • Ensure timely and accurate development of building plans and specifications.
  • Attend key meetings, including STP, Orientation, and Pre-Production sessions.
  1. Production Support
  • Assist production with complex change orders, collections, and customer service issues.
  • Review project gross profit reports monthly to ensure sales team meets profitability goals.
  • Address gross profit margin shortfalls with senior management and production leadership.
  • Attend monthly job costing meetings to evaluate ongoing project profitability.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and quality control.
  • Review client feedback and implement improvements as needed.
  • Work with sales and production teams to resolve customer service concerns.
  • Support collection of outstanding payments when necessary.
  • Conduct site visits to assess quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Report non-compliance issues to the Director of Operations and Director of Production.
  • Participate in Total Quality Management (TQM) initiatives.
  • Ensure sales designers complete follow-ups, site visits, and final walkthroughs.

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales strategy development and implementation.
  • Strong technical sales skills.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing a sales team.
  • Industry and product knowledge preferred.
  • Proficiency in relevant sales and CRM software.
