Payroll Specialist

Our client, a reputable organization in Consumer Goods, is seeking a highly organized Payroll Specialist to support the accurate and timely processing of payroll. Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including data entry for timesheets, new hires, terminations, and payroll adjustments.
• Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, labor laws, and tax regulations.
• Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits deductions, and timekeeping issues.
• Calculate and enter special payroll items such as bonuses, commissions, and overtime.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to maintain payroll records and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll reports for management, including payroll summaries and tax filings.
• Support compliance efforts by staying up to date with local, state, and federal regulations affecting payroll.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP, Paylocity, or Ceridian.
• Familiarity with payroll tax laws and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, pivot tables, and formulas).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
