Operations Specialist

We are seeking a part-time Operations Specialist to join our team based in Santa Barbara, California. The selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks supporting daily operations and event setup and breakdown. This role offers a direct hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in keeping a tidy, orderly, and safe workspace.
• Cooperate with the Operations department to carry out tasks effectively and meet project criteria.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Respond promptly to demands and effectively communicate with team members.
• Report any problems, damages, or necessary repairs to Operations management.
• Carry out front office tasks when substituting for the Receptionist, including keeping the reception area tidy, sorting mail, handling phone calls and inquiries, and welcoming guests.
• Regularly check conference room and workstation schedules in line with form requests.
• Keep up to date with staff birthday and holiday calendar reminders, modifying staff as needed.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
• Help with event planning and setting up the conference room.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrable understanding of compliance standards and regulations.
• Prior experience supporting reception and customer service
• Able to lift heavy loads
• Experience with event planning and coordination
• Able to work part time hours between the hours of 9am-5pm
