Accountant

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accountant in Albion, Michigan. The role involves handling a range of accounting and financial responsibilities within our organization. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain detailed and accurate financial records, engage in financial reporting, and manage both accounts payable and receivable.

• Utilizing accounting software systems for data entry and management
• Handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks efficiently
• Conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy in financial data and reports
• Producing monthly balance reports for review and analysis
• Managing cost accounting and preparing finance reports
• Ensuring all accounting functions are performed in compliance with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning standards
• Using QuickBooks for various accounting tasks and financial management
• Communicating effectively with technical staff, including biologists, for month-end handoff and reporting
• Conducting research on the company's financial status and making necessary recommendations
• Maintaining a thorough record of business transactions and ensuring all financial data is up to date. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with Cl Programming
• Proficient in the use of Concur
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficient in Auditing
• Familiarity with Balance Sheet Account
• Experience using QuickBooks
• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online
