The Hardware Engineer is responsible for driving the hardware test and field analysis effort for the Medical Guardian Product Portfolio, following the Design Control Process detailed in the Medical Guardian’s Quality Management System.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Medical Guardian’s external and internal resources to ensure the timely delivery of Medical Guardian products to the market.
  • Utilize existing test plans and generate comprehensive test reports to document testing and enter testing anomalies found during testing, into Medical Guardian’s issue tracking system
  • Track documented product issues from creation to resolution to achieve documented level of performance.
  • Design and develop test plans for existing and new products outlined in Medical Guardian product roadmap.
  • Assist in the design, development, review, and updates of technical requirements documents.
  • Capture the voice of the customer and convert into technical requirements.
  • Work closely with Medical Guardian’s Quality team to ensure that products, processes, and procedures are developed and adhered to Medical Guardian’s Quality Management system.
  • Work with the Quality team and design partners/vendors to analyze field returns and implement root cause and corrective action to address field issues.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in a related technical or business area
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Hardware Engineer or related role
  • Have extensive knowledge of IOT devices and embedded systems.
  • High level knowledge of antenna performance requirements and able to review antenna data.
  • Can read and analyze electrical schematics, electrical BOMs.
  • Knowledge of the use of typical electrical lab equipment; oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, voltmeter and network analyzer.
  • Knowledge of wireless protocols such as LTE, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and RF communication protocols
