Adecco is assisting a client in Georgia, VT, with recruiting for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Supervisor. Work schedule will be Friday – Sunday, 6am – 6:30pm (36hrs, paid for 40).

In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing production and packaging operations to ensure efficient, high-quality output that meets company standards. You will provide leadership and direction to operations and packaging staff, manage daily workflows, and implement strategies to improve processes.

This position also involves ensuring adherence to company policies, GMPs, and safety regulations while maintaining a productive and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor production and packaging teams, including hiring, training, conducting evaluations, and making recommendations for disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a positive team environment by providing leadership through example, motivating staff, and sharing knowledge and skills.
  • Plan and organize production schedules, ensuring proper staffing and cost-effective operations.
  • Maintain production efficiency by tracking daily workforce activities, analyzing production costs, and identifying solutions to reduce losses.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain production records, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and inventory tracking.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely closure of work orders and communicate completion to the Warehouse team.
  • Oversee the proper maintenance and use of production equipment, tools, and accessories.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to implement quality measures and address production concerns.
  • Approve employee time and attendance and authorize overtime as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements and support their implementation.
  • Communicate effectively with Plant Management, HR, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).
  • 5-7 years of manufacturing experience with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Proven knowledge of the food industry, including hygiene and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to analyze and interpret production data.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete flooring.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds from ground level to waist height.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role with reasonable accommodation.

Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
