Data Scientist, IT Operations Research & Advanced Analytics
Responsible for delivering data and analytics driven projects from beginning to end; Work with cross functional teams and other analytics professionals to identify business opportunities and frame the analytics problem; Obtain, manipulate, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data from diverse sources; Develop and test quantitative models, support software, and analytical tools; Build and validate analytical and statistical models using forecasting and machine learning techniques (e.g., NLP, computer vision, tabular modeling) to drive value for our partners; Prepare memos, analytical reports, and presentations analyzing data findings and recommendations; Deploy models as proofs of concept or fully productionized implementations; Collect, organize, and analyze data from a variety of data sources; Monitor and maintain deployed models to ensure continued effectiveness; Quantify business impacts and communicate actionable recommendations with business partners to drive informed decisions; Promote data-driven decision making across the company by delivering workshops and tutorials.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.Job Location: Ft. Worth, TX
2 years of experience as Graduate Research Assistant, Analyst, Data Scientist, Engineer, Intern, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained, and demonstrated experience in: Designing and building machine learning models; Data extraction, cleaning, and analysis; Ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences; Python, R, or Java; Data visualization through Tableau, R, or Python; Deep Learning and Recommender systems; Statistical design of experiments; Statistical analysis; Developing software for deploying data-driven solutions; Big Data analytics; Feature engineering for regression and classification models; Forecasting and statistical methods including regression and classification models in real-world applications; Predictive Analytics for maintenance or planning.Experience may be gained during or through the course of graduate-level education.
