CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Land Development Engineer to join our Commercial & Institutional – Land Development Team at our office in Norwell, MA; Boston, MA; or Burlington, MA.
YOUR IMPACT:
Effective land development projects hinge on collaborative efforts between developers, regulatory bodies, community stakeholders, consultants, and local review boards. At the outset of a project, CHA prioritizes a comprehensive assessment of its impact on the entire community, accounting for all moving parts.We then skillfully execute development to enhance traffic, stormwater drainage, water quality, sanitary services, and the built environment. CHA has completed thousands of projects across the country, including warehouses, retail, mixed-use, and residential projects for private developers, as well as parks and recreational facilities, trails, sidewalk and streetscape improvements, port facilities, stream restorations, major utility extensions, public housing, and entertainment venues for public/government agencies.
Working alongside CHA’s professional engineers, the Land Development Engineer supports the design development, implementation and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs.The professional in this role aids in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. At CHA, our Land Development Engineer works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.
The Land Development Engineer identifies technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections. This individual develops and maintains a familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the firm’s and client’s practices, procedures, and standards.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of related Engineering experience required
- Strong knowledge of engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
- Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field
- Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline
- Familiar with QA/QC procedures
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
- Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
SALARY RANGE::
$70,000 - $82,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
