Wonderful opportunity to join an established well-respected multispecialty group of 150+ clinicians (roughly 100 physicians and 50 APPs|other professionals) that has been caring for its residents for over 100 years. Physician owned and operated. Incoming physicians will be a pre-shareholder for the first 2 years, then they are invited to become shareholders.The shareholder contract is evergreen. Each shareholder owns 1 share; everyone is equal. Only an hour to Napa and a two-hour drive to the Lake Tahoe area takes you to the highest concentration of ski resorts in the country, with record-breaking annual snowfall and views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountains.
About the Position:
The OBGYN Team is currently comprised of 2 physicians and 5 Advanced Practice Providers.We are planning to add 3 physicians to the practice
Call: 1:5 (utilizing OBGYN locums until fully staffed)
Laparoscopy, minimally invasive, hysterectomy skills required
Willing to prescribe contraception
Able to perform tubal ligation and insert IUDs
Performing slings for mid urethral incontinence (TVT| TOT) a plus
Preferably ultrasound viability scan experience (not anatomy scan)
50% Obstetrics | 50% Gynecology
Average 20-25 patients per day
High Risk pregnancies, have access to MFM in Sacramento
High Risk are transferred to a higher acuity center at 35 weeks.
Oncology and Uro-gynecology are referred out
Cerner EMR
APPs take second call for C-Sections, but do not assist with GYN surgeries.
Patient population: lots of diversity- from migrant workers to college professorsAdditional language skills a plus: Spanish, Punjabi, Farsi, Mandarin
Patients admitted to Woodland Memorial HospitalGroup has a Hospitalist team who manage inpatient care for regular admissions
