Civil Engineer Co-op
Job Description:
Kleinfelder is looking to add an engineering co-op to join our Site Department in Bowling Green, OH for spring, summer or fall of 2025!

Education (Including any required Certifications):
We ask that students are pursuing a degree towards Civil Engineering
Preferred Skills/Experience:
The candidate should have the ability to readily learn, the fundamentals of site design of buildings and foundations including:
- ability to use Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Teams to effectively communicate with internal and external clients,
- ability to adhere to organizational standards for quality and performance,
- ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications,
- ability to read and interpret applicable design codes,
- ability to assist in preparing basic design calculations under the direction of a Senior civil Engineer,
- ability to assist in reviewing/checking calculations prepared by others,
- ability to learn to use storm drainage analysis software,
- ability to assist in the drafting of plans and details,
- ability to assist in preparing meeting minutes,
- ability to assist in reviewing and processing RFIs,
- ability to assist in reviewing and processing Submittals and Shop Drawings,
- ability to assist in performing field observation and field measurements to record existing conditions,
- ability to work collaboratively with other design disciplines (Architecture, MEP) to coordinate the site with the overall design
