A premier, family-owned food manufacturing company local to Middlesex County, NJ is searching for a Corrective Maintenance Supervisor to join their team!
Under the guidance of the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by overseeing maintenance technicians. This includes scheduling and managing corrective maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.The role requires following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all equipment according to the manufacturer's guidelines.
- Review maintenance plans and coordinate with external contractors when necessary to meet deadlines for repairs.
- Develop and maintain maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the FT Maintenance Software.
- Regularly inspect machinery for signs of malfunction through visual and auditory checks.
- Utilize various power and hand tools to perform repairs and replace parts as needed.
- Effectively supervise team members in a noisy environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility in collaborating with team members or assisting where needed.
- Repair, install, adjust, or maintain machines or vehicles as required.
- Document all work performed in writing and enter records into the Preventative Maintenance (PM) software.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on food production line equipment as per department procedures and regulatory audits.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts, consumables, and change tooling equipment.
- Assist with the installation, assembly, and testing of new machinery and equipment when necessary.
