Purchasing Coordinator - Miami

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to manage and oversee our purchasing activities. The Purchasing Clerk’s responsibilities will include maintaining vendor relationships, placing orders, tracking deliveries, and updating all relevant data into our database.
The successful candidate will have the ability to multitask while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process purchase orders and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records, including price histories and any changes.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding order status, changes or cancellations.
- Organize and maintain vendor and product database.
- Conduct routine comparisons of vendor prices, ensuring the company secures the best deals and pricing.
- Provide administrative support in managing contracts and vendor performance evaluation.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure proper supply levels.
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
- Participate in inventory audits to ensure record accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Clerk or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
- Solid understanding of supply chain management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing order software programs.
- Strong numerical and data entry skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior vendor management and relationship building abilities.
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
