Plant Controller

We are looking to bring on board a Plant Controller for our team located in St Paul, Minnesota. In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee a broad spectrum of accounting and payroll responsibilities, ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations.

This role will be instrumental in maintaining our financial integrity and stability.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the processing of weekly and bi-weekly payroll for employees.
  • Administer the company's 401K plan and communicate any benefit changes to vendors.
  • Manage cash flow and conduct daily cash management reviews.
  • Prepare and process financial reports at the end of each month.
  • Reconcile and review the general ledger regularly to ensure accuracy.
  • Calculate and distribute quarterly and yearly bonuses to eligible employees.
  • Create and manage the annual budget, financial goals, and fixed asset planning.
  • Coordinate quarter-end and year-end payroll related activities and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles in all financial activities.
  • Act as the primary contact for the annual financial audit and complete the year end close.
  • Determine and create payments for PTE taxes and tax distributions.
  • Utilize accounting software systems and other tools to streamline processes.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic work environment. • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Software Systems is required.
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in executing Accounting Functions, including Accounts Payable (AP).
  • Should have handled Annual Budget and Budget Processes in previous roles.
  • Auditing experience is essential.
  • Must be familiar with Dynamics NAV and MS Dynamics NAV.
  • Experience in Management Reporting is necessary.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are necessary.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Should be capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must demonstrate high levels of integrity and professionalism.
