Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general and entity accounting, cost accounting, Human Resources, and Operations etc.
• Implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
• Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements
• Provide accounting assistance to project managers and operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs
• Act as a liaison between the company, government, and external accountants to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
• Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
• Respond to inquiries from the Director of Finance, Controller, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like
• Work with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely year end audit
• Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the departmentJac
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the role of Accounting Manager.
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.
• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential.
• Must have hands-on experience with accounting functions.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is a must.
• Experience with auditing is necessary.
• Familiarity with billing functions is required.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Must demonstrate high levels of integrity and professionalism.
