Collections Specialist

Expanding New York City organization is currently seeking a Collections Specialist in New York, New York. The Collections Specialist will be primarily tasked with managing accounts receivable, facilitating business-to-business collections, and building relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the timely collection of payments in accordance with established processes.
• Handling heavy phone and email communication for business-to-business collections.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients to facilitate collections.
• Keeping track of accounts receivable and conducting billing functions as required.
• Addressing and resolving customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Regularly monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions based on account status.
• Coordinating with other teams to process customer credit applications accurately.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate customer credit records.
• Implementing strategies to improve the collection process and meet performance targets.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Solid understanding and experience with billing functions
• Proven experience and knowledge in collection processes
• Demonstrated experience in B2B collections
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
