Campus Overview:
Kettering Health Main Campus- Kettering Health Main Campus, formerly Kettering Medical Center, is the flagship hospital of Kettering Health and has been serving Kettering, Ohio and the Greater Dayton area since 1964.
- The facility includes the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Heart Hospital, maternity service with a level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and level II Emergency Care.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Your Mission:
Reporting to the Administrative Director of Nursing, your mission as Operating Room Clinical Nurse Manager is to create and facilitate a proactive approach in meeting the needs of the patient while effectively managing and growing your team of clinical professionals.

You have a proven record of achievement implementing change, as you are able to articulate the “why” in a non-transactional way that inspires your team, your peers, physicians, and executive management. Your ability to create team cohesiveness with effective performance management, and rewarding excellence, while navigating the complexities of a busy hospital unit and executing projects are paramount to your exciting new adventure ahead!
Skills, Knowledge, Education & Experience You Offer:
- Five years or more progressive career in leadership in clinical nurse management or team leadership, with current experience leading a large team in the OR
- Exceptional and influential communication skills
- Energized by working through issues, establishing goals and achieving positive results while managing new initiatives
- Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor’s Degree or Masters (preferred), with a commitment to obtaining your BSN and potentially your Masters if this should become a requirement by a regulatory agency
- BLS
- National certification by the end of 1st year in position
- Strong focus on Performance Improvement and Patient Safety
- Experience in Staff Recruitment and Retention
- Fiscal Responsibility
- Focus on patient, staff and surgeon satisfaction
