Staff Accountant

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the non-profit sector in West Allis, Wisconsin. The Staff Accountant we seek will join our team, focusing on the maintenance of accurate financial records and providing support in monthly and yearly financial operations.

• Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Administration of biweekly payroll
• Preparation of reports for different business units and annual audits
• Maintenance of accounts payable and receivable
• Execution of various accounting duties as needed
• Utilization of NetSuite Smart Count and Paycom software for accounting processes
• Assisting in the monthly and yearly closing of financial operations
• Performing bank reconciliations, general ledger upkeep, and journal entries
• Utilizing accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor communication.
• Demonstrable experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, cash application, and customer account reconciliation.
• Expertise in Bank Reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
• Familiarity with General Ledger tasks such as maintaining and analyzing account balances, and preparing financial reports.
• Ability to accurately prepare and post Journal Entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures, including preparing financial statements and reports.
• Proficiency in using NetSuite for various accounting and financial tasks.
• Experience with Oracle-based financial systems, including data entry, reporting, and system navigation.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks for managing and processing various accounting transactions.
• Familiarity with SAP for financial management, including financial planning, transaction processing, and reporting.
